Despite naysayers who claim there is less enthusiasm than in 2008, fundraising is impressive. Nearly $750 million was raised in 2008, and right now there are over 300,000 small contributors, compared with 180,000 at this time in 2008.
Large donors are also chipping in (see link below.) It helps that there is no primary and that Obama is an incumbent, but what really counts now is outraising and outrunning the GOP.
